Click Clack

198 days since injury
136 days since surgery

I wasn’t so worried when my knee started to click a few days ago. The same thing happened on my previous ACL reconstruction, and it turned out to be nothing.

When I straighten my knee completely, I feel a tiny bit of resistance and then it clicks into place. There is no pain, but it’s visceral and audible.

Check out this video, turn the sound on, and you can hear it quite clearly:

Today I had an appointment at my physio in Spain and Vicente checked it out fully. He concluded that it’s some tension in the quad or patellar tendon, and/or the quad muscles.

Most importantly, he stressed that these things are only a problem in your head. If there is no pain, then there is nothing to worry about.

It’s the same conclusion I had from my previous ACL reconstruction. The noise worried me a lot back then, and I pushed my surgeon for an MRI scan. Nothing came up on that and the noise eventually went away after a few months.

This time I am sure it will be the same, and the rehab continues full speed.
