It’s just over two weeks from surgery, and it’s time for the staples to come out.
My friend Lisa is a medical professional and had way too much fun doing this. After my last surgery 6 years ago, she was disappointed to learn a district nurse had beaten her to the staple extraction.
So, this time, she made the most of it.
This is, hopefully, the middle of my full recovery.
It’s been four weeks and I have a goal in sight.
Watching the sport I love gives a fresh motivation.
It’s the day before the operation and all the preparation is done. All that’s left is to try and stay positive
Three months after surgery I got a PRP injection to boost the healing process.
It feels good to hit this first major milestone.
