It’s just over two weeks from surgery, and it’s time for the staples to come out.
My friend Lisa is a medical professional and had way too much fun doing this. After my last surgery 6 years ago, she was disappointed to learn a district nurse had beaten her to the staple extraction.
So, this time, she made the most of it.

It feels good to hit this first major milestone.
Today was my last session in Spain for three months, as I will be travelling over the summer.
This is, hopefully, the middle of my full recovery.
Almost a year to the day I get back on my board and back on the water.
My knee started to audibly click at full extension, and today I had it checked out.
