Only one way to find out

351 days since injury
289 days since surgery

In another physio session with Matt today, we introduced a few more exercises. The focus is on hamstring strength and movements that replicate Kiteboarding.

We went through Deadlifts, Cossack squats, and a variation squat with a band to train in the Kiteboarding positions… but that wasn’t the exciting bit.

Matt is confident I am more than ready to get back to Kiteboarding and other sports. This is what I am been working for!

If I am honest, I am nervous. It didn’t sink in right away, and I am still getting myself mentally ready to get out on the water.

Don’t get me wrong; I feel ready. I had felt ready to do some light Kiteboarding back in April or May. But I knew, of course, that would have been a big risk.

So, right now, I am super excited but also with some mixed feelings. This time has gone so fast. It doesn’t feel like over six months since I started walking and almost three months since I started running.

I know I am ready, but testing my knee fully comes with some fear. It will definitively prove that the surgery and rehab was successful. Will it out hold out?

There is only one way to find out.
