A Rusty Return
I have just finished a week snowboarding trip in Wagrain, Austria. We spent a week there and hit the slopes on six straight days covering 142.7km.
This was a big test for my knee and I am happy to report there was no serious pain or issues. For the first couple of days, I did feel some stiffness/aching, but it went away quickly.
It has taken over a year, but I am not feeling like I am pretty much back to normal. I can do pre-operation activities without thinking about them. My fitness levels are not back yet, and I am feeling quite rusty, but that will come with a bit more time.
My next test will be regular kitesurfing in Thailand. I will be building up my confidence slowly with progressively higher jumps and tricks.
That starts at the end of January, and until then I will enjoy the European winter.
